Jean Lyle students play outside every day, unless it is below 0° F or heavily raining. Children have access to a large embankment hill and slide, a wooden playhouse, a well-stocked mud kitchen, a sandbox with a natural log stepping border, a play stage, and two additional climbers.
Shovels, gardening tools, trucks, dinosaurs, and sand toys are available year round. We also offer seasonal outdoor activities like gardening, raking leaves, playing with water, building with snow, playing in the fairy garden, and cooking with seasonal add-ons to the mud kitchen (Acorns, black walnuts, crabapples, wild pears, pinecones, pine needles, lemongrass, birchbark, stones, etc.).
